Hello Bob
Just a quick note to express my thanks for the consultation around my
semi-custom Ruger M77 Hawkeye in .243. Your patience in discussing options
with me was almost as good as the final work including trigger pull,
bedding, and installation of a new Lilja barrel.
I've been shooting my rifle for two years now, primarily at South Dakota
Prairie Dogs with great success, including my personal best confirmed kill
at 635 yards.
I've recently been working on some hand loads to continue to improve the
accuracy work that I'm quite certain would not have been possible without
you. Attached are pictures showing my best (0.391") and worst (0.513") 4
shot groups , including one group with 3 shots through the same hole.
Watch out varmints, with good weather, a steady rest, and perhaps a little
luck I might be able to push that personal best even farther this year.

Besides top notch gunsmithing, Bob gives you an honest approach concerning
what he can provide while laying out fair pricing. There is no reason to use
a firearm that doesn't function to its full capability. Let Bob take a look

Another fantastic job done

I have to work many hours
and save for a long time to buy the high quality firearms that I own.
As a hunter and a sporting
clays shooter, I expect them to function flawlessly every time I pull the
trigger.
As a perfectionist I expect
my gunsmith to have the same expectations as I do and I was lucky to have
found Bob back in the mid 80’s.

The quality of the 3 muzzle
brakes, the trigger work and the work he has done on my Beretta over/unders

I found Bob Odenthal several years ago after my shotgun broke at a clays
shoot in Minneapolis. I've since sent much of my gunsmithing work to him because
he does good work and finishes it when he says he will. It's a lot easier to
send it to him than to find another gunsmith I trust in my own home town.
